Dr. Jacobs and her wife turned my life upside down with their incompetence and greed. For starters, I was referred to this therapist by Dr. Lisa Hadley, who failed to disclose that the therapist she was referring me to was her partner. I was quickly diagnosed with "Bipolar Disorder" after two brief virtual visits with the psych and following a bad reaction to an SSRI . Dr. Mindy Jacobs is simply a superb therapist, whether one is looking for an individual, couple or group therapist. Dr. Jacobs listens well, as she creates an atmosphere of safety and trust which allows for the work to develop and deepen.
Dr Jacobs is an experienced and thoughtful therapist. I highly recommend her.
Extremely poor experience with Dr. Jacobs. Her manner is disengaged, incurious, and unconcerned; her demeanor is sour, cold, and humorless. My partner and I went to her for couples therapy and broke up after 7 sessions. Can't blame that on her, obviously, but (apart from the waste of money) she did she did nothing either to help us repair the relationship or make the breakup less painful.
