My father-in-law was there for 9 hours when he passed. We should not have been expected to pay the full price, knowing full well he was going to pass within hours of arriving. We were in a very vulnerable situation, since the hospital basically kicked him out because there was nothing they could do to keep him alive. The place was small, but clean and everyone was very nice. I just think there should be a sliding scale as to how long the residence is needed. I would never recommend it unless it's your last resort.

Jacob’s House provided the best possible end-of-life experience we could have asked for. Their home-like environment and 24-hour care allowed our family to visit and spend meaningful time with our sister until it was her time to pass. The staff showed compassion, love, and respect in every aspect of her care—from personal care and daily living assistance to preparing her favorite meals while she was still able to enjoy them. We are deeply grateful for the kindness and dignity they provided during such an important time.

I was so glad to learn of jacob's houses...mom had one on one care she needed, (shoutout to Jean, Norma & Cynthia) and the home itself is lovely, Highly recommend

Jacob's House was highly recommended to me from several sources when my husband's illness was critical. He still had mental skills to give each caregiver a nickname; thus to establish a personal relationship with each one. He was cared for with compassion and dignity. Appreciate so much Jacob's House helping make a very difficult situation less burdensome.

The facility was clean and well maintained. Proper. However, the duplex was staffed by an unregistered person which was not certified for this type of work by the State of Missouri. She was not a caregiver .... only a "facility' person. No input into diet or meal preferences, sleeping medication was dispensed each night and our loved one dressed for bed at 6:00PM and then released from bed at 9:00 AM. Bed restraints were used without doctor's orders and against State of Missouri elder care statutes.
