Needed furnace igniter replaced, part is $25 online, Jacob Bros charged $287 for it + labor + service call fee. Jacob Bros is on watch at Ohio Attorney General's office for price gouging. Avoid this business.
I have no idea how that other reviewer could give a 1-star review. Jacob Bros. have installed two complete systems for me over the last 15 years, plus numerous system check visits. Never a problem or overbilling or anything like that - just very competent service. In both cases their installers did more than the contract called for (like adding a T junction) at no charge.
If this company is at all related to the Cincinnati based outfit STAY CLEAR OFF DECEPTIVE PRACTICES! Each time they came out to conduct annual “service checkups” the capacitor would blow and require $100 replacement. They checked my air conditioning and over pressurized it blowing out the coils requiring a $2000 complete replacement. Buyer Beware!
