Excellent! My son has needed hearing aids for many years, we thought there was only one option for children in Jacksonville. We found Jacksonville Speech & Hearing Center and wished we would have found them sooner! Dr. Long accommodates for the level of function to get accurate results, is professional, caring and empathetic. She also listens to the parent's concerns. Raymond at the front desk is receptive and efficient each time we call in. They are prompt with returning calls and scheduling.
I would have competent individuals answering the phone who could provide information & answer basic questions regarding the services offered or have someone qualified call you back. All vague or I cannot answer that responses besides, "Fly down here for a 1 hour appointment to find out if we can help!" Poor patient service. Don't waste your time with this group.
I have been familiar with the Speech and Hearing Center of Jacksonville for several years from volunteering with United Way. When it came time to seek help for my hearing I immediately thought of the Speech and Hearing Center. Dr. Mattson and the Staff took great care of me and I never felt pressure to purchase a particular brand of device. There is no conflict of interest as they have access to all aids. Rest assured the style that best suits your needs will be recommended.
It has been over 28 years ago my Son had to attend. They where excellent with him. At that time they were located on Laura Street. They were the best, hands down.
Friendly staff, experienced audiologist and works around your time. 🙂
brought our daughter here for an evaluation, found she had hearing loss in her left ear. Dr. Long was excellent with her and doing the test as our daughter has some other complications that makes it hard for her to focus. after a couple of test and a CT to verify no blockage we did a fitting for a hearing aid. excellent facility recommend to anyone needing a hearing screening.
Everyone here is so nice and helpful. Dr. Long was extremely patient with my 90 year old mother. She loves the hearing aids that she got through Medicaid. We found out today that the prices are very reasonable for my husband's hearing aids. (Our insurance excludes hearing aids.) Dr. Mattson was very caring. I highly recommend them.
