We bought our boots today, my husband and I, and had them oiled when we bought them. The mink oil has so far turned the boots much darker than we had anticipated and are a little worried that they will stay still too dark once they are dried. Is there any way to lessen the darkness that the mink oil turns the boots? We bought them because we liked the lighter brown color.

I recently bought a new pair of boots from Jackson's two months ago and the people at the store were more than helpful and helped make my boots fit the way I want it. Nice people, nice selection of boots.
