love books i like reading and love well organized, good book shops. reading is an enjoyable experience. jackson books does good business. good deals, selection. everyone who reads in georgia should check bookstore out
Good selection of Southern works It is difficult to find a parking spot in downtown Athens when school is in session at UGA. If you manage to find a convenient spot stop by Jackson Street Books. Although prices are relatively high there are still bargains to be found. The stacks are well organized by subject and are alphabetized! The staff (of one) is quite helpful. Best used book store in town Stocked full of generic and sometimes rare books. Clean, well lit, and very comfortable. Be prepared to spend a lot of time browsing--once you start, it's hard to quit.
