Booked Smokey Mountain Splash for a long weekend July 7-10. Arrived on July 7 at 4pm. Discovered the AC unit for the lower level was not working. Notified customer service at 6:22pm. I was told that an HVAC tech would be by that evening or first thing in the morning on July 8. Nobody showed up that night. On July 8, I waited until around 10am and nobody showed up. On 7/28 I booked this place for 8/5-8/7. First I would like to make sure you know there are papers you have to sign in 48 hrs or they will cancel your stay with NO REFUND. They do not sent you the information to check in until the exact time you can’t. So if you don’t get service your phone might not load it on the property. We arrived at 3:30. STAY AWAY! Electrical safety issues not responded to. Ground fault and at least 2 circuits out in our cabin, a clear electrical/ fire/ safety hazard, and management’s response for over 6 hours now is that they’ll get around to it later! I tried to insist that they move this up as a priority since it is a safety issue but they did not seem to care. For the safety issue (and the poor customer service) I have to recommend that you stay away from Jackson Mountain homes.
I do NOT recommend Jackson mountain homes and especially the Cabin “Return To Me” located in Sevierville Tennessee. First when we booked our original cabin in October we were notified months later it has sold. Okay no biggie we will book another. Two days before our trip the wild fire broke out and our cabin was in the evacuation zone. So in order to be able to continue our vacation we had to pay ANOTHER $900 to move to a different cabin out of the evacuation zone, one that was WAY SMALLER, less beds and the one thing we as... read more
LOCAL SAYS STAY AWAY!!!! Don't be fooled, this company used to be great but they were sold and now they have no business ethics. We have rented many cabins in the past with JMH with great results, but this time our vacation was a nightmare. I won't even give details about the deceptive pictures showing a beautiful interior that hid peeling paint and worn cabinets, there are more dangerous points to review about the GODS VIEW land and the inexcusable treatment we received from JMH. Would leave zero stars if I could. We booked a cabin to rent in Sevierville, TN through Jackson Mountain Homes in June for a 4-night stay: August 16th to 20th. We have stayed at multiple cabins through the years rented through JMH, and it was for the most part, usually, a pleasant experience; that is until this time. The number one request per my 5 adult children was that the cabin have a pool table, and they would prefer a mountain view. If I could give them a ZERO I would. We booked a 4 bedroom 4 bath cabin which was pet friendly on March 5, 2021 for arrival on Monday September 6, 2021. We had others coming in from out of state and one couple flying in. We received out Check In documents via email on August 30, 2021. Mind you we have paid in full for this trip in July of 2021. The cabin was not clean. There is pet hair everywhere, pillows, bedding, balls of hair on legs of tables, cob webs and lots of dust! Upstairs pullout had an old sheet on it with some dead bugs and human hair. Trash out in the back yard. Highly disappointing when everyone who stays here pays a “cleaning fee” Definitely expected more as we have booked through Jackson before and had a wonderful experience. CANCELING RESERVATION AND REFUSING TO REFUND $300 DEPOSIT DUE TO A $73 DISPUTED TRAVEL INSURANCE CHARGE! My husband and I booked a cabin rental and mistakenly signed for the rental insurance. Upon email notification of travel insurance, we immediately contacted customer service to cancel. A cancellation was issued but did not appear on our cc statement.
