I had a deeply frustrating experience at this facility. It began with a rude encounter at the front desk and ended with a dismissive consultation with Dr. Joseph Rhee. Despite reporting five days of fever, cough, voice loss, and diarrhea following a workplace contaminant exposure, Dr. Rhee diagnosed me with 'non-infectious gastroenteritis' without performing any tests or addressing my dehydration. I had a very disappointing experience at the ER at Jackson. The nurses and doctors seemed like they did not care about the patients. People were waiting 8–10 hours just to be seen. When you ask how long the wait will be, they simply tell you that if you don’t want to wait, you can go home. An emergency room should treat people who are in urgent need of medical attention.
