Totally unprofessional and untrustworthy at Cocoa, Fl. ******** office. The worst first: They emailed another person' tax returns to me...i have this woman's Ss#, DOB, address, telephone number and income information! They could not find mine for 3 days. The so-called Customer Care Line is a farce...try it, day or night and all you will get is a msg that you have to wait 20 minutes to talk to someone. Not even a msg box. Same on line. The worst costumer service I have EVER experienced at the Wake Forest NC location. At my appointment I gave them 1 W2, I have 1 dependent, and I was owed money from the last few stimulus’s. That’s it! They NEVER went over the price with me or that they arranged it to come out of my tax return until everything was already done. I was stupid and didn’t ask how much but I’ve never paid over $150 for my taxes to be filed so I figured it had to be around there. I have been filing my taxes with JH since 2015 and want to report a software bug in the system which led to an overpayment of thousands of dollars. The software calculated my state deduction for CA incorrectly in both 2019 and 2020. I discovered this issue while filing my taxes in 2021 and raised it to the franchisee. The franchisee accepted that this was a software error and has filed my amendment for both years. I am writing this message for two reasons 1) Refund of my tax prep fees for both years. If I could give no stars I would, I have gone here for years and last year needless to say will be the last time. I am still waiting for my tax return, yes you read this right it is March 2021 and I am still waiting for my tax return from 2019. Let's not forget both stimulus checks have been held up do to the incompetence of the tax preparer as well. I don't know how JH can remain in business. They totally messed up my tax returns. They omitted deductions that I had claimed in 2919. They didn't even review my last year's return. They assured me the filing fee was $50 but they charged me $193. I filed bin 2/15 under the impression that my refund would be direct deposited into my bank account but I found out from another tax specialist that my refund was deposited into a JH account on 3/3 yet 10 days I have yet to see one dollar. I made appt to drop off taxes at Jackson Hewitt in Yuma Az. When I got there and gave her my information she said she could have my taxes ready in about 20 minutes. We were in Arizona and our home state is Oregon and we wouldn’t be back in Oregon until late April. Knowing that most tax preparers charge by the form I figured the cost would be over $100- in Oregon I paid under $100. When we went back to pick up taxes the charge was $238. I made an appointment with Jackson Hewitt, **** ***** **** ** *** ***, New Albany, IN 47150 at 1:30 PM today to file my late father's final tax return. Jackson Hewitt sent multiple reminders of the appointment. One stated if I am late, they cannot hold the spot for more than 15 minutes. I arrived at 1:28 PM and was told it would be a long wait.
