I went to the ER for a suspected miscarriage because of my bleeding. My HCG levels had only risen from 1,175 to 4,400 over 20 days, but I was told those levels were “normal” and instructed to come back the next day for an ultrasound because the ultrasound team stopped working at 3 PM. The next day, I was bleeding very heavily and actively miscarrying, but I was told they would have only seen me between 7:30–8:00 AM for the ultrasound. Wait times have improved over the years! To be fair, I think it depends on the time you go in and your triage! Still better than what it was 20 years ago!
We have visited the emergency room several times over the past 3 years, and have never had to wait more than 30 minutes, if not taken straight back! The staff is very helpful, and took care of our needs.
Waited the usual 4 hours.
