I would not know. After being referred to see Dr. Skendzel, waiting for an appointment with Dr. S specifically, I am met with a PA. NOT by Dr.Skendzel, not even with an explanation of why either... The PA isn't who I was referred to see by my Dr. I felt like I wasn't heard entirely and was processed out the door faster than the wait time it took to be seen. I waited to have an appointment with the referred Dr. Skendzel. Having an appointment I should have been seen by him.
I'm 8.5 weeks post rotator cuff tear surgery. Prior to surgery I had heard from various people that this surgery was far more painful than knee or hip replacement. I have had both of those. My surgery was performed by Dr Skendzel and his team and they were very good. My pain was very controllable throughout, and I have shown consistent improvement working with PT (Katelyn Bauer). I’ve had two FAI hip surgeries done by Dr. Skendzel in the past and was coming in this time due to some persistent knee issues. I fully trusted his expert opinion and he took the time to explain to me what he was looking for and seeing. I felt like he was listening to what I was saying and he also spent a few minutes chatting with me about not just my knee. It was a great overall experience and I’d recommend anybody go and see him if having hip or knee issues.
