Great little local place every visitor to this great city should try. The staff was very nice and the food was incredible. And let ures not forget the giant beers yummy.
Had a wonderful birthday luncheon there. Food was outstanding. I used to work across the street from Jack Dempsey's and haven't been there in quite some time. I especially enjoyed the charbroiled oysters, they were the best I've had and I've had them at restaurants all over NAWLINS. GREAT DINING Experience.
I had the fried Redfish. It needed to be seasoned more and Louisiana Hotsauce should be added to the table. But the portion size is great! The mac-n-cheese was really good... potato salad, not so much. Service wasn't the best and it wasn't overly busy in the restaurant - we never got drink refills and the waitress seemed to be in a rush about everything- but she was kinda nice. The atmosphere was nice. Overall, it wasn't too terrible. I would say I would visit again.
Went to the restaurant today for the first time. I'm saying to myself "Why did I wait this long?" to experience this place. It's just fabulous and the service and food was beyond compare. I live on the Westbank and we have nothing that compares to Jack Dempsey's.
