I've lived in quite a few nice communities across the country and have yet to find a real estate office that isn't open on the weekends. Most people looking for a house are working during the week, otherwise they couldn't afford to buy or even qualify to rent a home. The website is pretty minimal and doesn't even include links to her contact information, making it almost impossible to communicate with this business. What a shame!
Dont waste your time I called this business a few days ago at a reasonable time during business hours and left a message since no one answered. So I called the office again a day later and was going to leave a message for them to call me back since it was after hours there but I live on the west coast so it was a little more later than I thought but before I left a message at the office number the phone was transferred to the owners cell phone and she answered and was completely rude and hung up. Do Not Use This Company!!! I have been a tenant of hers for only a short time, and I think I'd assume be homeless before I would rent from her again. I had attempted to discuss with her some legal issues surrounding my unit from where she had taken it over from a previous landlord and she put her hand up and stated she did not have to discuss it with me. RUUUUUNNNNNN!!!!!! Joyce Smotherman is rude and highly arrogant. Nothing is ever her "problem" even though she is the "manager". If you even consider pushing the issue further, she will evict you with the snap of her fingers. As long as you don't need anything done, she's fine, otherwise you are s.o.l.. Which explains why in 3 years I've seen 7....SEVEN tenants move in and out of her one property.
VERY UNSATISFIED!!! all of the properties are in bad disrepair. the landlord (Joyce Smotherman) is the most evil woman I've ever met... we where her tennants for 3 years and will never be again!!! WE PAID OUR RENT ON TIME, EVERY TIME FOR 3 YEARS and when we where trying to move out she lied to our new prospective landlords resulting in us getting declined.!!!! I'm now in the process of talking to my lawyer about suing her for slander...DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE111
Only advice I can give you is to stay away!!!! She expects you to pay for & do ALL your repairs... this is why people rent instead of buying!!! It is NOT our responsibility as tenants to paint, etc. & up keep YOUR home!!!! She is just rude & a nightmare to deal with!! I have NO CLUE how she has even stayed in business for so many years! Personality = NONE! There are wayyyy to many good rental places/landlords in Murfreesboro!!! GO TO THE NEXT ONE!

Always taking care of issues – I have enjoyed renting from JS Properties; I have been with them for years and they always take care of any issues we have the same day.
Always courteous – I have really enjoyed my apartment. I have also appreciated the kindness of J.S properties. Joyce has always answered my questions and when there was a problem or just needed an answer. I appreciate her promptness and she has always been courteous. I believe she really cares about her the tenants she manages
