You can trust them, you can give them a general idea and they will craft a beautiful product for you, or you can give them very specific instructions and they will match your wants and preferences exactly. When they give you advice - take it. They know what they are doing and they know what they are talking about and they want to make you happy. That counts for so much, and is why Jimmy and his team have my family's jewelers for 25 years.
