Dr Walker took on my complicated case for a knee revision after a second infection had occurred. My wife and I met with him and later came to the conclusion that an amputation might be the only way to avoid yet a third infection and revision. Dr Walker managed to convince us that amputation was too aggressive and that it was possible to get a functional knee with only one surgery. After being turned down by 4 other orthopedic surgeons, I was starting to loose hope. Then I found Dr. Walker and everything changed. Not only did he take on my case with confidence and care he also made me feel heard and understood. My case was a bit more complex having a rod in my femur that had to be removed before the new hip.
