I lived at the Cedar Trace apartments in Jacksonville for 7 years. I loved the location and the apartment itself, but J. Brittain management is literally the worst property management company ever. For several years, I lived next to pot smokers who smoked 24/7 and made my apartment reak day and night. I told J. Brittain about it and they literally did NOTHING. I got police reports that documented the smell and multiple neighbors smelled it and made similar complaints, and the pot smokers lived there for two and a half years.... read more

Recommendedj. Brittain Associates expertly managed my property for over 20 years. They provided good customer service and a quick response. I would highly recommend them.
They don’t accept unemployment as a qualifying income which is ridiculous when so many people are out of work but making plenty of money (usually more than their actual job paid) on unemployment.
I would not recommend J. Brittain to anyone. It was an uphill battle with the office staff from the time we submitted an application. We submitted an application for a house and was told we were good to go, only to get a call saying they rented it to someone else. Not a big deal, as we found another house. we've put in multiple applications for houses that have been posted online and they keep telling us they aren't ready to rent even though they are posted online just a complete scam horrible company to rent from
My fiancée came in there to find out about some rental properties we were interested in but your staff are the rudest people I have ever heard of! I used to be the IT Director for The Greater Alabama MLS and I know for a fact that you guys have always had a bad reputation as far being rude to potential clients but I always overlooked it as here say but apparently it wasn’t! I still have a lot of friends in the Real Estate world and I’ll make sure to inform them of my experience!
They do illegal things. Make the renter pay for repairs they are not legally responsible for. They hold an anti-competitive monopoly on most of the houses inside of an entire region. They'll have you cleaning roofs, floors, do professional cleaning, and anything they can think of to get cheap or free maintenance out of their tenets. Their real customer's are the home owners, and they use tenants as tools to pay for rent and small to large maintenance tasks. I was trying to rent a house from them,but they have a real bad customer service in there plus the personal is rude and racist they ask me for 2 or 3 paper to rent and at the end they want my taxes from last year really that is too much I was not buying a house only rent . Don't not go there the worse place in anniston to rent from and it was only to see the house.at first.
