We discovered the Ivy when my cousins had the Wake for my Uncle George Newitt’s funeral here & fell in love with not only the food but also the atmosphere and service!
The service was incredibly inconsistent. Our server was adequate, but not overly effusive or kind as she was to other tables. The seafood parpadelle was the biggest letdown. The description was “spicy lobster sauce” but it was flat and bland. I’d forgive it if it were rich and divine, it was just bleh. The history and “former church” vibe is fine, but not remarkable neat. There are better options in the western burbs.
