I went to Jade just for a haircut with layers. She was so sweet and she really seemed to take the time to talk to me and understand what I wanted. She also gave me recommendations on my bangs which I am trying to grow out, and offered to help me “fix” them so that they grew out better. I felt like she really cared about helping me and giving me a cut that I liked! I loved the finished look! I always leave feeling absolutely gorgeous—Kelli is amazing! I tend to get a bit nervous about trying new colors or cuts, but she strikes the perfect balance between my comfort zone and what I’m hoping for.

All right, kids — buckle up, because this is the most detailed review you’ll see. First, here’s some background on my personal concerns with my hair: 1. I’m Mexican, so my hair used to be super thick and would get oily very quickly. Over the years, it started thinning due to hormonal changes, but it’s still very prone to oiliness. 2. If you’re not sure where to go and it’s been a long while since you got your hair done, I’d highly recommend checking out Ivy Salon in Northside. It’s clean, welcoming, and brightly lit. Amber did SUCH a great job with my hair after not having it cut in almost 3 years. She listened to what I was aiming for and improved on it. I will definitely be back to see her and this salon.
