I was concerned about finding a new PDoc upon coming to Florida as I had been with my previous doctor for many years. Change is never easy for me but the easygoing and professional nature of he and his staff put me right at ease.
He allowed my son to be discharged by the NP without ever meeting my son who was his patient for SIX months. The office manager and staff are nice, don't expect any return phone calls. They will promise to call you back about important medication questions. You will never, ever hear from them.
My adult, disabled son became a patient in the practice in July 2020. We never got to meet Dr. Mazzorana. My son was blocked from seeing the doctor by Nurse Practitioner Karen Woods. I'm a health care professional. I'm appalled by Ms. Woods lack of professionalism. When we experienced an error with CVS, completely rectified as of now, Ms. Woods assumed CVS was correct and we were trying to fill medication early and she mailed out a discharge letter same day. He listens and is very caring. He does not over prescribe medication. His staff is very friendly.
Dr. Mazzorana is a fine Dr. The wait times in his office can vary - I've waited anywhere from 10 minutes to a hour past my appt. Be careful of the missed appointment fees. I've been seeing him since Jan. and recently missed my first appointment by mistake. I see the doctor every 3 months and wasn't given an appointment card back in October. They didn't call or text to confirm, a service they've previously been consistent with. I have had MS for over 30 years and I have had neurologists put me on medication that is inappropriate for my symptoms. A knowledgable psychiatrist like Dr. Mazzorana will coordinate current medication use and even prescribe off-label medications to minimize my side effects. I believe that everyone that has a chronic illness should see a psychiatrist in addition to their specialist. Dr. Mazzorana is the psychiatrist of choice in this area and he is highly recommended not only by patients but other physicians.
I would and have recommended Dr Mazzorana to friends when asked.
Dr mazzorana has treated my mom for years and now also my husband...he ia very professional...and very kind also his office staff...im grateful that my family members are under his care....i will not change him for anyone else
