Run Away! – I hated the 6 months I worked there! I was makeing $10.00 an hour as an EMT at Beta Steel in Portage. I was supposed to escort a guy making death threats against his supervisors to his car, in the dark. Seriously? Like the other guy said, no benefits...Wait! 5,000 in FREE life insurance. Avoid at all costs – First off, no Benefits, witch wouldn?t be so horrible if there pay rate was decent. There average rate is 6.50-7.00! Who does security for that low??? Of course with the minimum wage increase the might of raised it to 7.50?.. But then again, why risk your life for minimum wage. Secondly, as soon as I went armed and started making a whopping $10.00!!
