Food is average. It has a good ambience. Nothing spectacular about this place but fills you up. A bit pricey for the food they provide
You can't go wrong with any of their burgers. They offer bottomless fries so you can order one for the entire group!
I had high hopes for my visit to Islands since I've heard good things about it. Staff is friendly enough and atmosphere is nice as well. Menu seemed pretty good till I ordered my burger and was greeted with a resounding no when I asked for med rare. Strike one. My coke gets delivered to our table and is flat. Strike two. Nice friendly atmosphere. Little to no waiting. Friendly staff. Burgers are huge and juicy. I recommend the Kilauea, its spicy! Great drinks and desserts too. Nice place to chill.
I visited this Islands Restaurant in Burbank with a friend on a recent Saturday just after noon. We expected that we'd run into a crowd - it's the holiday shopping season, and we were just blocks away from the Media Center mall. However, we were seated and served promptly and politely. My friend and I always order the Cabo Loco - the grilled pork soft tacos with that killer chili-cilantro sauce - and a basket of fries to share.
