Good portions but the food is bland. I ordered the Chili Verde meal, the meat tasted plain and there was little flavor in the stew. One thing I will say that the food had a home cooked feel to it. But I would only come back if no other place was available
Best taqueria in Alameda, nay, the world!!! If you eat anywhere else you're doing yourself and all of humanity a disservice. The salsa verde is the distilled nectar of the gods. Tasting the carnitas completely rebuts any argument your vegan friends may have made about the evil of eating meat. To my friends at Island Taqueria I have but one word to say: Bravo!!!
