Tonight was our second time ordering from here. A few weeks ago we ordered online and we specified a time to pick them up. We were there early and the food was almost cold. Tonight we went inside and ordered and again the food was almost cold when we got home. We live 3 blocks south of Barrington Village and it barely takes us 5 minutes to get from Island Taco to our home. We won't be ordering from them again. Even thought Taco Via is a little further away the food is always nice and warm when we get home.
We love this place! A few months ago we came and got an 8 pack build your taco set and had barely any beef included for the tacos. Like seriously, there was hardly any. That turned us away for a while, but tried again today and it was a great experience! I had made a note about the previous lack of beef on my online order, so the employee was apologetic and made it a good experience.
Food is great when they are open! The last two times I have been there before 7 PM. They have been closed. Very frustrating when you say your hours are only until 7 PM and you’re closed at 6:40.
Island Taco Shack is my new go-to when craving tacos and burritos. While they do have other items to choose from, I absolutely love the queso. I requested to have my order delivered and they got it to me within 15 minutes. I greatly appreciate that they offer delivery as it saves me from additional fees that the apps charge. The fact that they’re local makes it even better. LOVE IT!!
Ala Carte menu with plenty of selections. Food was served fast and tasted good.
