First of all, I used a USPS Large Flat Rate box, which costs $16.85 to send. Steven said it was now $19.85...I said that was wrong as I had just shipped one a few days ago and paid $16.85, He said the rates had gone up. This was on Saturday and post office was closed and we were leaving on Sunday, so I had no choice but to pay it. Just called USPS and rates have NOT increased. I am visiting Anna Maria Island and looked on the internet for a place to mail some packages and also to use a computer, do some faxing and scan some documents. I learned I could do it all in one place - Island Mail

I went to this store as I was in a hurry ('nuff said). I brought in my package it was weighed and insured amid chaos. The lady mentioned in the other review was gruff, had me move packages swiped my card and proceeded to the next customer. The package was crushed on shipment to Montana I had lined this with foam pillows UPS does not allow foam pillows. The package was obviously dropped and UPS said Island Mail could file a complaint. I have been a part-time resident of Anna Maria for many years, and must say that I'm very impressed with Island Mail and More and the owner, who is always friendly and courteous. I'm sending my comments because I went in to use the computers in Island Mail with a lot of work to do, and couldn't concentrate at home with the grandchildren visiting. I visit Anna Maria Island almost every year and I am so glad I found Island Mail several years ago because the lady who runs the store has helped me with all of my shipping to my family while I am in Florida and is always very helpful with other needs I have had. I am writing because this trip we had need of a lot of extra help with faxes and notary service and Mrs Normand took care of everything for us. I'd give "no stars" or negative stars if I could. I had two prepaid UPS packages but the tape I had wasn't good. I bought a roll of tape from Ms Normand, and proceeded to tape my parcels. When I went to pay for the $2.99 tape, she asked me for $2.00 more. When I asked her why, she said it was for the use of her facility!! Remember I bought the tape from her, and I taped the parcels.
