Ishnala is one of the most unique and fabulous restaurants you will find in the Dells, or anywhere else for that matter. The decor, food and service is the best. We would eat there every week, if we could. Love it!
We often plan trips through this area of Wisconsin around the hours that Ishnala is open! Wonderful food, gorgeous location - overall a wonderful, wonderful experience. Ive been going there since my parents first took us in the 1960s! Highly recommended - happily its a little out of the way to find - which is amazing considering the crowded area of the Dells - but just follow signs. This is definitely worth it.
This place is everything that a Wisconsin Dells restaurant is supposed to be, from the bar shaped like a boat, to the stuffed wild life on the walls. The service is friendly, the martinis are on the mark, nice wines are available and the steaks were definitely upper end. This establishmnet knows what it wants to be, no big-city imitations here, just good food overlooking scenic Mirror Lake. I know Im gushing, but I just love this place.
I love Ishnala! The best time to go there is at sunset. Its so beautiful watching the sunset over Mirror lake. They have a deck that over looks Mirror lake where you can sit and have drink, while awaiting your table. Tip: make sure that you request a window seat, so you can look at the lake while having dinner!
