i had a really bad experience at irvine family & implant dentistry. i booked a cleaning and showed up on time but waited almost 40 minutes in the lobby with no apology. the front desk staff seemed disorganized and were more focused on chatting with each other than helping patients. the hygienist rushed through my cleaning and was rough with my gums. they bled alot and stayed sore for like two days after. dr ghatnekar came in for maybe 5 minutes glanced at my xrays and started recommending thousands of dollars worth of work ... read more
I had such a great experience at Dr. Ghatnekar’s office! He is awesome, personable, and genuinely funny, which really helped make the whole dental visit comfortable and even enjoyable. He’s very thorough in his work and you can tell he truly cares about doing things right. Dr. J. Ghatnekar is an exceptional dentist with a truly gentle touch. Every procedure is smooth, precise and surprisingly painless. He takes the time to explain everything clearly and step by step, so you always know what is happening. His skill makes every visit a breeze. Took my mom to have her dentures realigned. The dentist said he'd call the next day to see how well they were working but he didn't. The dentures don't fit well so we went back to see if there was something he could do. Our former dentist who is unfortunately no longer works in Orange County would do a soft realign to make it fit better. The dentist just pointed out what he couldn't do offered no potential solutions. And wasn't exactly kind. I think he's knowledgeable, but I would not recommend.
this place is just confusing all around i went in for a cleaning and exam and they kept trying to upsell me on stuff i didnt even need which made me wonder if the whole appointment was just a sales pitch instead of actual care i sat in the waiting room for almost 25 minutes past my time which is already annoying when you schedule ahead for something like this the dentist himself seemed rushed and barely looked me in the eye while talking about my teeth almost like he was reading from a script then i get home and check my ins... read more
