I moved into San Melia apartments Feb of 2020--The brand "new" frig went out and I lost over $200 in food just purchased for moving in < "Sorry, not our problem". This was the start of a long and frustrating trend in maintenance in this complex and a maintenance request is about a 4 week process to get anything fixed or to have people call back. I stopped into the office over the weekend because another one of the pools at Kota North Scottsdale had green water so unable to use. I called the office for an hour without anyone answering the phone. I stopped in the office then to see why this pool was not available again and when would it be ready for use. As I asked one of the girls in there she got very loud and defensive saying that I was recording her. I told her I wasn't recording her and turned my phone to show her. This place is shady asf ******* the apartment manager is the worst oneout of all of em. The apts here r gross and extremely poorly managed and unmaintained

The property manager and maintenance staff at Kota North Scottsdale were unprofessional, awful at communicating and sloppy. Not even 24hrs before move in day they called to tell us our apt wasnt ready. We had to postpone our move in date THREE times due to remodeling deadlines being missed. We lived out of boxes and our moving truck sat outside in the heat for six days while they tried to figure out when the apartment would be ready. I started living at the property in 2007 and the Avenue5 took over management. Things went from bad to worse. An overcrowded parking lot with residents parking 24/7 in Visitor spaces. A verballly abusive ice cream vendor with loud music. Stairway lights that were out, despite my complaints, when I came home at night.I switched my lease to monthly and put in my 30 days notice to move. If you looked up the definition of terrible, you would find Avenue5's Block17 management team. There were multiple dog biting incidents from one dog in the building and it wasn't until the dog owner got sued that the management decided to evict them - even after numerous complaints from multiple residents. There was another time when the apartment management wanted every single person who park their cars in the parking garage out on the street for 3 days straight without any reimbursement or concession offered to residents. ... read more

I put into living here for 3months (how sad) or I WILL TAKE YOU TO COURT !!!! I don't bother anyone here and I pay all my rent ON TIME AT THAT. I WILL NOT BE TREATED THIS WAY!
