I've been hoping for a new coffee/ cafe spot in Shockoe Bottom/Churchill for some time now. really nice environment for getting work done or shooting the breeze with some friends. music has never been obnoxiously too loud like other places, and the beverages have been fantastic so far. With the available upper loft area for working, or more comfortable couches downstairs for chatting, I'm definitely a big fan of the feel of the place. Friendly staff & clean facilities.

I go to Ironclad Coffee pretty frequently for business meetings (especially in the spring and summer when my business is picked up) And I introduce a lot of my clients to there as well. I’ve been losing the loyalty card for a while; but today my card was refused and the employee refused to honor the 5 punches I have already accrued because they switched to to new digital system. Super disappointed in the customer service.
My wife and I stopped in while passing through Richmond. Fantastic aesthetics, great espresso, in a firehouse... very, very cool. Picked up a bag of their bare-knuckle blend. Loved the packaging as well. Highly recommend!
