Absolutely amazing, probably the best food I have ever had!! Survive was a little shaky starting off but wow!!!! I am full and will becoming back before my vacation is over!
A-Freaking-Mazing! I was completely blown away by the food and service at the Iron Pig. I am not a big meat eater, don't really care for wings, but the Iron Pig had me questioning myself. Not that meat is all they are (the giant smoker in the back may challenge this concept) but they have vegetarian and gluten free options as well. Five stars...without a doubt! Chef Rick, you have an amazing gift for barbecue! The Getaway San Diego team had a fantastic meal and can't say enough good things about it!! As a Texan myself, I am suitably impressed with the authentic barbecue sauce and the slow-cooked brisket!
I have been to the iron pig ALEHOUSE a few times. The food is GREAT! I love all of the beers they have on tap. I must say I'm partial to belching beaver beer, it is my fave. But a close second is ale smith. Kenny has been my server/ bartender a few times, I've always had great customer service from Kenny. He has an easy going and personable style. Kenny is passionate about the beers and is very knowledgable.

Overrated, got pulled pork and brisket, portions were small and totally overpriced for the avarage quality of both, lacked flavor, no hint of smoke, and meat was dry because it is pre prepared, not cut to order. Sides are even weaker, microwave dinner quality green beans potato salad cheesy potato and slaw, lacking flavor and any imagination.
