My daughter's friend had a car accident downtown Rockford on Sunday. We waited in the Irish Rose for her parents to come in from out of town to pick her up and tow her car. When they arrived she and my daughter ran out to meet them and I asked for the check explaining the circumstances (because we weren't finished with our appetizer-gotta eat :D). I've always enjoyed dining at your establishment but your recent commercial with video slots in the background makes it look like a dive bar. Not sure I will choose to come there next time?

We need to avail ourselves of all revenue sources to be able to continue bringing the finest food possible at prices that people can afford. Sorry it doesn't fit in with your needs. We cannot be all things to all people. My people need their jobs. Besides the name is and always has been Irish Rose Saloon. Saloons have drinking and gambling and probably always will have. Our concentration is and always will be on the food, served simply and in casual surroundings.
The funky looking salad in the commercial is enuff to keep me away. You need to hire a professional ad man. The commercial is as bland as the food looks.

I hadn't been in this establishment in years and my sister took me here for lunch. The food was Excellent, friendly and prompt service, clean and pleasant atmosphere. We had a enjoyable lunch and I will definitely return for dinner sometime. Did I say clean?
