I have only seen Ira for a couple of months but from the very first session he has been kind, understanding, and helpful. In such a short time I feel free to tell him anything, no matter how hard it is for me to express. He is blunt and right to the point. Ira did an okay job in general as a therapist but failed to properly fill out paperwork correctly and refused to acknowledge mistakes when changes were needed. Responding to the need for changes with immediate, defensive agression. Ultimately addind significant detriment to my mental health.
Poor recommendation, he claimed I missed appointments, which is not true, and he failed to make an appointment and failed to acknowledge. Claimed I failed to make effort, but that was false.
Working with Ira over the last 3 years has been a life changing experience. I first walked through his doors hopeless, broken and desperate for change. He actively listened, never judged and provided endless support as I navigated my way to a healthier state of mind. Through his guidance, I have found my voice and discovered a new level of confidence that has accelerated both my personal and professional life. I have known Ira for many years now (2009). I first started going to him when I was at one of the darkest places in my life. With the unfortunate event of an insurance change I needed to find a new therapist. I continued with my other until he retired 5 or so years ago.
