They’ll lie to get a sale. You don’t actually get a tax refund for 30% of the total cost of the system. It’s a tax credit only that rolls over until it’s used up. Could take years to receive the full refund but they want it within 19 months or else your payments will be raised. They are either unaware of how Iowa tax laws actually work or they’re just liars. My array has been installed for just over 2 weeks. The cables are hanging off of my garage. I have yet to hear anything about when an electrician will be coming to finish the work. Iowa Solar Pros contracted the work out to a third party and there has been a severe lack of communication. On top of all of this, the financing company wants me to confirm the array has been installed (meaning payments would start in 60 day). This whole process has been frustrating and feels like a joke.
