hometown cafe It is a great little cafe with good food and wonderful atmosphere. The food is pretty good but the pies are to die for. You should always leave room for a slice of pie. It has the feel of a small town cafe. Everything in this place has to do with Iowa. It has Iowa licence plates on the wall and there is always something to look at no matter how many times you have been there.
not my favorite food The food in here is just mediocore in my opinion. It is nothing fancy or special. I wish they had a larger menu with a bigger variety of choices. If you like simple and plain choices this is the place for you. But I do have to say that the service they provide in here is excellent and very fast. They are really friendly people to.
It's Iowa – It's all things Iowa, and the midwest inside this unassuming building, but the food was great. You can't go wrong for breakfast. Try the biscuits and gravy, or the buckwheat pancakes for some stick-to-the-ribs meals. All the pies are homemade, so be sure to take a slice home for later. And the price is right.
