I’m writing to provide feedback on the application and screening process with InterWest Properties. The screening process felt opaque and confusing. There appear to be expectations around “supplemental evidence” or contextual explanation of negative history, but applicants are not informed of this upfront. Interwest has been absolutely wonderful. Andrea, the leasing specialist, was incredibly supportive, responsive, funny, kind and reassuring throughout the entire process. Our in state move was still 3 plus hours away and Andrea made the entire process super easy and Interwest had the home warm, smelling beautifully and super clean when we arrived. I am a Housing manager/case manager and Andrea at Inter-west property management has been amazing since the minute i sent an email. She has been patient and kind and was extremly helpful and easy to work with!
Having an Inter-West Property as a neighbor is truly a nightmare. If you have a problem with issues on their property, they refuse to deal with it unless you conduct literally illegal surveillance of their tenants. They are truly incompetent and a terrible member of the Portland community.
