Salon Owner My husband supported me on opening a Salon. My mother and I went down to Interstate Design, located in Southern California. It was during the Long Beach Show that I came in contact with IDI. When we came to visit IDI, Kathy was very helpful and showed us around the showroom. We were very taken with the showroom and the help we were given. We meet with Jim and he literally walked us through every step of the construction, lighting and flooring, Jim was awesome! Our salon is absolutely beautiful and shows like a ma... read more

Just plain bad. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! I ordered only one nail table on November 24th. The invoice came out on November 30th. (Inhale)... ok. Lorraine (after me paying of course!) said it would take anywhere from two to four weeks for me to receive it. So I knew I was going to lose all my Christmas business at that point. When they emailed me the invoice it was wrong. It took for ever to receive the good one, as I had to (almost) beg for it. Ok. I requested an ETA on the table and Lorraine (more than 10 days ago) said she wo... read more

UNETHICAL WORK ETHIC NEVER USE, SAVE YOURSELF TIME, MONEY AND GRIEF As a business owner I looked around to see who would be a solid, ethical, american company to build my salon (not the case). IDI made sense, it has its own factory, it was in california. Since the first day there was inconsistency with information I received, however their sales people talk a good game of explaining all your concerns away, until..... you give them a deposit check, the amount of a new car, then, custom furniture, customer interaction, custom ... read more

Salon Manager This company is awful. I will not ever order from them again and I will not let any salon I know of order from them. Not only have we dealt with horrible customer service, and no call backs, but we ordered a pedicure chair in Feb 2010 and by late April/early May part of it already broke. We ordered two new footbaths for our chair in May and it is now almost November and we still do not have them. We've been charged for the parts and told several times that they were on their way however, after a follow up phone... read more

Salon Owner I wish I would have found these reviews prior to ordering from this company. Back in August of 2009 I ordered 6 chairs from this company. I received a phone call that the square bases that I paid extra for were discontinued so they suggested a different square base (brushed metal). I actually liked them better than the shiney metal ones I had picked out. That is the only positive thing I could say about this company. Three months after having the chairs 1 of the bases stopped pumping. I called and spoke to Lorrai... read more

Stay away from Interstate Design this is the worst company I have ever tried to do business with in the 25 years I have been in the salon business. I placed an order in noveber 2009 for 6 pices. It has been 7 months and all i get is unreturned phone calls and emails from jim Nancy (the owners) and Lorraine. I did get put on hold for 23 min. once. They do know how to do one thing take my deposit of $7000. Do not do business with this company. I guess this is one for my laywer.

Interstate Design Industries is The Worst Ever If I could give them a negative amount of stars I would. This company is extremely dishonest. They don't even deserve for me to write about them but I'm doing it only for those who have thought or are thinking about doing business with them. Back in 11.06.2007 I ordered 3 chairs model "nicole". They sent me "modina" model chairs that are similar but not the specific ones I wanted for my salon. As soon as I received the chairs I called to let them know and they accepted to send m... read more
