I loved the new building that was used last year and was surprised when the old building was reopened because it was such a downgrade. Have stayed at this hostel for nearly 10 years but when they switched to the old one, I arrived to find myself locked out and the phone not working at all. I call now and it immediately hangs up on me. Thats such a bummer because this was the best hostel in San Diego and I only wanted to stay here but now I have to go somewhere else. The coolest place around!! This was my first time staying in a hostel and wow i had a great experience. The staff is super friendly!! The place is super nice, very clean. The reason why I picked this place was anymber of reasons first it’s right by the beach. Plenty of bars restaurants and it has daily activities and trips so it’s easy to meet other guests. This business does not exist at the Google map location. The windows are boarded up. Not sure if they moved or not but the phone number is disconnected as well.
Look no further, there's Dungeons&Dragons games at this house! As a single traveler, I felt very welcome and safe here. People are friendly and helpful. Booked the 'bear cave' which is a nice budget friendly single room option. Recommend!
