My doctor retired last year (great doctor). Since that time, IMA has yet to assign me a new doctor. Turn over is bad and you can’t speak with anyone on the phone. Trying to get a prescription refilled is a nightmare.

My dr. left IMA. I received a letter informing me about this. It also listed 3 drs. who are taking new patients. I called one and their first appointment is in February! They will not refill prescriptions until they see you. The receptionist told me to call IMA, so I did. That receptionist said that I have to see a dr. or nurse practioner just to get refills. So, I have to pay my copay to get a prescription refilled. It seems to me that IMA is unorganized. They don't have any plan in place when one of their doctors leaves. A... read more

Several months ago received a call from a clerk from IMA, Fort Myers Billing stating that I owed a co pay of $30. I told the clerk that there must be some mistake that I always pay my bills at the office visit. She stated again you had several months to pay in a rude manner. I told her that it was a well visit was the reason why the co pay was not paid. In the next few weeks I received a letter stating that I cancelled my Dr. Leppert.
