Most recently there seems to be a breakdown in communication between Dr. Reynolds office and the VA. I seem to have an ongoing issue with getting my eyedrop refills in a timely fashion. Today is 4/3/25. My appointment was for 3 Pm and it is now 4/15 and I have yet to see the doctor. The customer service is non existent.
Although one expects personable treatment by their medical professional; sometimes skill, knowledge and efficiency are preferred. In Denver, I was a patient of Opthomologist Dr. Melinda O’Rourke and outstanding Retinologist Dr. Nilus Mehta. The transition from that treatment to Intermountains was challenging. However, I reviewed the backgrounds of the Intermountain physicians as well as reviews. Dr. Reynolds was able to pick up where Dr. Mehta left off. This place has HORRIBLE bed side manner! We went to my hubby's pre-op appointment this morning and the assistant Denise was condescending and rude! She acted like we were a problem for her because I asked questions. If he didn't need the surgery to see we would NOT be back!!!!!
I’ve been seeing Dr. Reynolds for 12 years now to treat a chronic iritis/uveitis caused by an auto-immune disorder. Yes, it’s a long wait in the office and sometimes you’re there far beyond your appointment. But you have to remember that this is a specialty doctor and there aren’t a lot of them. He also has brought me in last minute between appointments and even seen me between surgeries when my eyes start to flare and it turns into an emergency.
