This is the only store in Tucson where you can be sure that you are getting quality music gear, instruments and lots and lots of help available--whether you're a newbie to music making or a seasoned pro. I think their staff is amazing--super friendly and the store is incredibly clean and organized.
We have visited and worked with both IMC locations to rent and ultimately buy string instruments for each of our four kids as they made their way up through the ranks of public school music programs. Even after moving to the Phoenix area, we always find our way back down to Tucson and IMC for our music needs. The staff is knowledgeable, supportive, and always there to help us make the best decision we can for the musical stage our kids are in.
I have been doing a project with VH-1/Save The Music to find the most deserving schools and the best music retailers and put them together to help kids. I worked with 18 retailers last year, across the whole U.S. IMC was our first choice in the southwest, and no one did a better job of implementing the program than Leslie and Michael. They have a passion for music and music education and it shows in everything they do.
This is my go-to music store in Tucson. The selection is comprehensive, and there is always someone working who can give you great advice about a particular type of instrument. They also have a top-notch repair program, and they tend to be the store of choice for most of the local school music programs (I used to be a local band director) because of their excellent customer service, rental program, and school outreach.
They know their product better than anyone in town and have helped us in so many ways!
Rude staff, awful customer service skills along with over priced instruments for such low quality. Never shop here y'all.
