I was hoping for a simple diagnostic and fix and that’s precisely what I got. The technician found a bad capacitor and replaced it in about an hour. He explained the problem well and made sure everything was working well before he left.
Good maintenance. A/C is operating great presently.
The problem was a disconnected duct and they fixed it in less than two hours but I saw some debris left behind that needed some more cleaning. Generally the repair worked well and a little more diligence with clearing up after service would have made the experience a little easier.
They fixed the problem with a hoover in about an hour. The problem was a blocked drain line which caused the A/C to turn off periodically. The technician described each procedure carefully and validated my first research suspicions.
