I found Dr. Loller from the Adult Tongue Tie Support Group on Facebook in 2021. After learning about my infant's tongue tie through my own research, I realized I was tied myself and that it was likely causing my sleep apnea where I was waking up frequently at night gasping for air. My experience has not been positive. While I sleep, I grind my teeth. I came to the practice to discuss getting Botox to relax my jaw muscle. I was asked if I snore and since I replied yes, instead of Botox it was suggested I get a mouth guard to protect the teeth from the grinding and to stop the snoring. Bonus! I proceeded and I had the guard for 3 months when I noticed my bite was off. This was confirmed while at a dental cleaning with my regular dentist.
