I have struggled with rewriting this review, but I am ready to come out and say it: My therapy here - in my opinion, which the 1st Amendment protects - was abusive. I cannot disclose everything, so I will share the things I feel most urgent about, so others might avoid harm like I experienced. Not trauma-informed. I do not recommend. My therapist told me point-blank that other clients are attention seekers who self-diagnose off TikTok and expected me to feel safe after that. Instead, all it did was make me wonder what they did not believe about me ... Well, I found out after an unethical, sudden termination and got my records. No wonder I did so poorly here. If I hadn’t moved states, I would still be seeing Dawn and Jody. Dawn was a guiding light as I navigated complex life events, and Jody made talking to insurance and med management look easy. I’d highly recommend giving Insight Therapy a try to see if it’s a good fit for you.
