Went into the ER for an extremely traumatic event that lasted over a week of back and fourth trips. Everything was just fine the whole staff is quick and efficient. Nothing great or horrible one way or the other. BUT the reason I’m giving 5 stars is solely because of Danielle in ultrasound. That women is amazing. She was the best thing that could have happened to me during my visits this week given my circumstances. This hospital is beyond lucky to have her!
My dad was transferred to this hospital from Fairfax. While he was here, they ran no tests to try to find the problem. No xray, no sonogram. He couldn’t walk and kept asking to use the restroom just to see he couldn’t pee. After 2 days of not peeing and drinking fluids they sent him home. After he got home he lost his balance, trying to pee, cracked his head open and needed to be rushed to the hospital. Again! Sent my mom back when she was complaining of pain in abdomen and low energy..told her to go to a dr scheduling three months away to check for any stomach issues. Her stomach was bloating and didn’t look normal and after one day we had to bring her back because she couldn’t move. Turned out she had stage 4 ovarian cancer and didn’t even bother to check and was past a way of treatment. Have no respect for Inova Fairoaks - worthless hospital that didn’t even try.
