This hospital has to be the worst hospital in Northern VA. I was admitted here for evaluation, and a nurse named Hannah, a white lady with glasses treated me like i was a dog. While i was in bed waiting for evaluation team, i over heard the nurse talking with the officer and saying: "just take him to jail so we dont have to deal with him". I came here for ECT treatment for depression, which had been recommended to me for a very long time. For whatever reason, they would not let me bring any clothes that I had brought with me in (despite allowing everyone else to bring in outside clothes from what I heard), which was very odd, and they put me at a place called "Empath" at first. great place. spent a week and a half there when I was struggling with a really bad self harm addiction at the age of 15. staff was super nice, kind, lots of fun activity during the day, and movies at night. we normally were not aloud to sleep during the day, but everyone was very accommodating when my meds were switched, which caused me to need to sleep for ungodly hours for a few days, nurses allowed me to have my bedroom blinds closed so I could nap, since I couldn't stay awake. staff was always willing to chat even at nig... read more
