What a dump. The hospital downstairs, not intake for behavioral health looks like a typical 3rd world country airport customs space. The behavioral health people completely, I mean completely, disregard you. You are just another number. They pursue meds not even conversation. They appear unsafe frankly, and spy through your window at night with flashlights. The patients are hostile, per usual as in 9 out of 10 mental hospitals or psych wards. This hospital has to be the worst hospital in Northern VA. I was admitted here for evaluation, and a nurse named Hannah, a white lady with glasses treated me like i was a dog. While i was in bed waiting for evaluation team, i over heard the nurse talking with the officer and saying: "just take him to jail so we dont have to deal with him". I came here for ECT treatment for depression, which had been recommended to me for a very long time. For whatever reason, they would not let me bring any clothes that I had brought with me in (despite allowing everyone else to bring in outside clothes from what I heard), which was very odd, and they put me at a place called "Empath" at first.
