I had a very bad experience here and felt very unsafe. I will start off by saying that I did not want to stay here in the first place. I only booked this hotel because all the rooms were booked at the Holiday Inn nearby. I was on a work trip so I had to be in the area. I haven’t even arrived at Inn on the Hudson yet, and I already wanted to recognize Allison for exceptional customer service. I called to arrange our stay because we’ll be arriving early Saturday morning after a red-eye flight, and she could not have been more kind, thoughtful and accommodating. This hotel falsely misrepresents itself in all online advertising. Rooms are old with years of paint one layered one over another. Flooring was warn and dingy. Bath shower ceiling was rusty and the overhead light looked like is was about to fall through the suspended ceiling. The pool is no longer open, there is no longer a bar or restaurant there. Grounds were unkept.

We stayed here for one night and were a little worried at first because of the mixed reviews. However, we wanted a relaxing getaway and loved the hotel’s beautiful view, so we decided to give it a try. We’re glad we did! We arrived around 1:00 PM, and although the standard check-in time is 3:00 PM, the front desk staff kindly checked whether our room was ready.
