Sundays from March 18 to October 21 Grab your blanket and join us in the breathtaking Presidio of San Francisco for the Bay Area's favorite open-air picnic! Presented by the Presidio Trust in partnership with Off the Grid, Presidio Picnic features international street food, yoga lawn games and cultural dance performances. Presidio Picnic is free to enter and open to all, and takes place Sundays from 11am-4pm, rain or shine.

I can not say enough about this amazing experience. We stayed in former officers quarters-had the entire house to ourselves even though there were other rooms! The grounds are beautiful, the Golden Gate Bridge is a short hike with fantastic scenery. The staff is super helpful, especially since the Presidio is a bit far from the touristy sections, and navigating can be complicated-do not let the distance from must sees deter choosing this place, with Über these days you can be there in a snap for a minimal fee. We spent a lovely 4 days there. Courteous, accommodating, and friendly service for this gimpy old lady. Most of our family were in the main building, but we were in the more accessible Funston House, which was appropriately decorated with historic & current Presidio curios, art, photographs. I loved it. The Presidio is an indelible part of my husband's family history.
The Presidio is a world within a world, within San Francisco but somehow not quite of it. The city is close but feels distant. The Inn at the Presidio has converted the former bachelor officer's quarters into an elegant abode in the very heart of a national recreation area. I grew up in San Francisco and moved away 30 + years ago, we gone to visit a lot. This is the best place ever to stay, loved it a lot.. The price was right decided we won't stay anywhere else.
We had a wonderful stay and the staff was Fantastic!
Really well renovated, ideal location especially for the golden gate bridge, quiet and restful, friendly helpful staff
