This place is a gem! Victorian splendor with amazing history. Phatsy Klines great happy hour and bar. Comfy beds with upscale bath products. Great location. We loved our stay here.

I've stayed in many historic hotels in my time. I love the feeling of history, I love the architecture, and I love the ambiance in general. For those of you who have never stayed at a historic hotel, keep in mind these aren't Hiltons. Nothing is brand new and modern. The point of these is to give guests a taste of what they were like in their prime. The Inn at 2nd and C is in a gorgeous, old building. The old "Eagle Hotel". So, so delightful. This is an incredibly beautiful Victorian building inside and out. Located in the heart of old town Eureka with many shops, restaurants, and bars within easy walking distance. The staff was very friendly, helpful and made us feel right at home.

We had a bad experience at the Inn at 2nd & C in Eureka, CA. When we were there we had to endure the bars/grills music and people standing around by the doors smoking and laughing and talking loudly to try to hear each other over the noise of the music. The music is so loud and head-banging that it's difficult to read, sleep, watch tv or visit in the hotel room.
