My name is Randal Friedman. And I have been a patient at the Denver Health Infectious Disease Clinic for over 15 years. The whole time I have gone to this clinic, I have been passed around like a football. And my mental health has not been taken care of. Between Primary Care, Dental and Proctology, it has been nothing but hurdle after hurdle. And feeling like you aren't getting ahead. The staff is great and helpfull, however, Dr. King doesnt seem ready or prepared to work with medically complex HIV patients without supervision. He continually called me by the name of another patient, he confused my primary HIV drug more than 5 times, flippantly told me to stop taking another medication without investigating why I was on it or what the potential negative o sequences would be by stopping an HIV medication. I am writing to warn other patients about the negligent care I received from Dr. Burman and his staff. I went to Dr. Burman regarding extremely high D-Dimer levels that has severe medical consequences. He was dismissive about 2 lab results that showed an extremely elevated D Dimer level. I requested a referral to UC Health Pulmonary Clinic which he told me he would send immediately. He did not. He basically lied. I've been treated here for over 15 years. The absolute best receptionist, doctors, NP's, lab staff & assitants. Simply amazing. I owe my life to the dedication and care of these people and this clinic!
