Hotel stay and service is always amazing. However, I have to be honest. Have never been in a bar where it seemed as if the bartenders hated their lives. Not at all helpful or suggestive; despite signage stating “may we suggest…,” and the bartenders are very commanding / rude (no matter if busy or not). Would not recommend. Get your drink on at another bar.

I was on a business trip in San Diego. To my surprise, it rained in early March. I decided to have dinner inside the hotel (Embassy Suite). It’s also the happy hour time (5:30-6:30PM). I got a complementary rum and coke. I ordered the cod and French bean entree and tomato soup. The food is average. The price is higher than the nearby restaurant, but I guess it has the convenience premium.

Steak Kabob was as tough as it gets. Steak is not worth the money, better choose something else. The veggies served with it were hopelessly undercooked. Waiter asked if I liked the food, I clearly indicated it wasn’t good, he simply ignored it. A waiter in a good restaurant would have picked up on this and sorted something out, not here though.
