Overcharging and rude customer service. Bill went from $100ish to $600 and supervisor told us to deal with it if we want electricity. They know they can charge whatever and we are stuck with it

Adding to the relatively terrible reviews for AES Indiana. Predatory practices, unethical procedures, and poor management. Please beware if you are late or pay a bill after the due date one too many times for their comfort despite NEVER being disconnected— they WILL charge 1/6th of 12 months in a deposit. They hit me with a $708 deposit after being a customer for over 8+ years & never disconnected, rarely late. I had to give up custody of my son bc I can't afford to feed him bc my bill is insanely high. Im on a $2000 disconnect notice by the 14th and can't get any help bc its so high. No one can believe how insanely high my bill is. Im stuck with $600-$700 monthly bills while people in bigger houses than mine only pay at most $250. This company is bs. I wish I had the option to get services elsewhere. By far the worse company ever
